Sooooooo kind of the greatest thing ever happened last night.

I stopped at Pioneer Grocery after work to pick up taco supplies. I was picking out my preferred shell brand in aisle 2 when…

…I SAW A BIRD WALKING AROUND IN THE GROCERY STORE!!!!!!!!!!!

It was a little guy! He was brown. As I walked (read: ran at full speed) towards the bird, he flew up onto the top shelf.

Totally the highlight of my week so far!

I am a believer in aliens, for sure.  I’m also pretty convinced that there are some aliens thrown into our earthly mix:

SQUID

My cat, Squid, has a portal on his face.  I’m afraid to get too close to it, in fear that I may get sucked into another dimension and run into another “me”.  I’m pretty sure Squid is an alien, not only because if his portable portal, but because of the fact that he is always staring up at the ceiling-as though he is anticipating the “mother ship” to come crashing through at any moment.

RIFF RAFF

Holy shit saucers in the sky!  There is no way that Riff Raff isn’t an alien!  I’ve become obsessed with the MTV “clean up your act” themed program, From G’s to Gents, and I was immediately taken back by Mr. Raff upon first sight.  He speaks in tongues through his huge gold chompers and manages to piss off and thoroughly weird out all of the other contenders with his shitty rhymes.  He looks like a mix of Axl Rose & the Predator, decorated with Flo Jo beads.  I’m totally intrigued.

Eliot just emailed this breaking story from Daily News:

Two red pandas at Brooklyn’s Prospect Park Zoo haven’t had time to parade for the public because they’re too busy getting amorous in their hovel.

“They’re having private moments,” said Denise McClean, the zoo’s facility director, explaining why sightings of Mae Lin and Qin have been so scarce.

Animal watchers are waiting with bated breath to see if the lovers emerge from their bedroom as pending panda parents.

“I’m very confident that this will be successful. We’re just hoping for babies,” said zoo animal supervisor Dominick Dorsa.

Ok.  A couple things:

1. Red Pandas are the cutest fucking things on the face of the earth.
2. We went to go see these guys at the Prospect Park Zoo last summer but they were feeling “punky” and wouldn’t come out of their hovel.
3. I assume that “punky” means amorous.
4. Amorous in their hovel is probably the awesomest way to say taking it to the bone-dome.
